Cable Technician / Cabler

Roy Powell Security is seeking an experienced and reliable Cable Technician / Cabler to join our team. We work across a wide range of residential, commercial, and industrial sites, providing security, CCTV, access control, and data cabling solutions throughout the region. This is a hands-on role involving cable installation, terminations, conduit work, fault finding, and general service and maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, terminate, and test data, security, and communications cabling
- Complete conduit installations, conduit runs, and conduit repairs
- Perform fault finding and troubleshooting of cabling systems
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, presentation, and site safety
- Work independently and as part of a team to deliver quality outcomes for clients

What We're Looking For

- Experience with data, security, or electrical cabling
- Ability to run, install, and neatly present cabling to a professional standard
- Experience with conduit installation and cable containment systems
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Reliable, punctual,



and well-presented
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Current driver's licence

Highly Regarded

- Open Cabling Registration
- Security Installer Licence (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with CCTV, alarm systems, access control, or intercom systems
- EWP, Working at Heights, or construction industry tickets
