We are looking for a reliable, motivated and experienced hospitality professional to join our café team in Sydney CBD.
This is a hands-on leadership position, ideal for someone with 4–5 years of café or hospitality experience who enjoys working with customers, supporting a team and helping to ensure the café runs smoothly throughout the day.
You may currently be working as a Café Supervisor, Senior Barista, Senior Café All-Rounder, Shift Leader or Assistant Manager, and looking for your next opportunity.
About the Role
As a Café Supervisor / Assistant Manager, you will help oversee the daily operation of the café and support the team to deliver excellent customer service.
Your responsibilities will include
- Supervising and supporting café staff during daily operations
- Opening and/or closing the café
- Providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Managing busy periods and ensuring the team works efficiently
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and food safety
- Monitoring stock and assisting with ordering when required
- Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally
- Training and supporting new team members
- Ensuring café procedures and standards are followed
- Working closely with management to improve daily operations
- Leading by example and maintaining a positive team environment
About You We are looking for someone who has:
- 4–5 years of experience in café,
hospitality or a similar environment
- Previous supervisory, team leader or senior hospitality experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- The ability to lead and motivate a team
- Good organisation and time-management skills
- The ability to work independently and make decisions during busy periods
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- A professional and approachable manner
- The ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment
- A genuine interest in hospitality and delivering a great customer experience
Visa Requirement Applicants must have valid Australian working rights with at least 12 months remaining on their current visa.
