Carpenter/Handyman – Residential Property Maintenance

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter/Handyman to join our team for an immediate start.

This role is ideal for someone with three to five years of experience who takes pride in their work and is keen to develop their skills and grow with the business.

Role Overview

The Carpenter/Handyman will complete a broad range of maintenance, repair and improvement work at residential properties. Projects will include general carpentry, household repairs, property upkeep, installations and minor renovation work. You will work across Brisbane and the Gold Coast, travelling directly to job sites in a company vehicle.

This position offers consistent work, a guaranteed 38-hour working week and a competitive hourly rate of $45–$50 per hour, with overtime opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

- Complete general residential carpentry, maintenance and repair work.
- Repair and replace doors, locks, handles, skirting boards, architraves and timber fixtures.
- Complete wall patching, minor plaster repairs and general property upkeep.
- Install shelving, cabinetry, fixtures, fittings and other household items.
- Construct and repair decks, fences, gates and other external timber structures.
- Assist with minor renovations, property upgrades and small project works.
- Identify maintenance issues and recommend practical repair solutions.
- Complete service notes, upload job photographs and submit timesheets daily.




- Maintain a clean and protected work area while respecting clients’ homes.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Travel between residential properties as required.
- Work independently on general maintenance tasks and as part of a team on larger projects.
- Travel directly to the first scheduled job rather than reporting to the office each morning.

Essential Requirements

- CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry or an equivalent qualification.
- Three to five years of relevant carpentry, construction or property-maintenance experience.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Current White Card.
- Basic tools of the trade.
- Strong practical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual and able to manage daily tasks effectively.
- Professional communication and a strong customer-service approach.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Willingness to travel between residential job sites.
