We are looking for a reliable, friendly and flexible Casual Retail Assistant to work across our Kingscliff and Ocean Shores retail locations.

The role is approximately 15–20 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional shifts to cover holidays, sickness and busy periods.

We are looking for someone who enjoys customer service, is dependable and is comfortable working across both locations.

About the role

You will work across News@Kingscliff and newsXpress Ocean Shores & Post Office.

Typical duties include

- Providing friendly and efficient customer service
- Operating the point-of-sale system and handling cash
- Stock replenishment and merchandising
- Receiving and organising stock
- Maintaining a clean and organised store
- General newsagency and retail duties
- Learning store procedures and systems
- Assisting with postal services at Ocean Shores after appropriate training
- Working independently when required

- Able to cover additional shifts occasionally

- Able to provide positive customer service in a busy retail environment

Previous retail, newsagency,



post office or customer service experience would be an advantage but is not essential.

Availability

Approximately 15–20 hours per week.

The usual hours will be spread between our Kingscliff and Ocean Shores locations.

Additional hours may become available when other staff are on holidays, sick or unavailable.

Applicants with flexibility across weekdays and weekends will be preferred.

Transport

You must have reliable transport and be able to work at both Kingscliff and Ocean Shores.

Experience

Retail or customer service experience: Preferred but not essential.

Licence / transport

Reliable personal transport: Required
