About the Role

We are in need of a skilled and experienced chassis inspector ideally this candidate will come from a heavy vehicle industry understanding and interpreting engineering drawings and ensuring best practices are being meet this will include and understand proper welding techniques on all welds and torque specifications on critical nuts and bolts according to required SOPs and engineering specifications. This role maybe considered as a quality assurance role bur the candidate will need to have come from a trade qualified background visually seeing all chassis independently. This role will require the candidate to work closely with all trades people and and understand manufacturing flow processes.

Requirements of the position

- Be responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is completed as per specification and quality standards.
- Hold regular Quality Meetings covering all aspects of build quality.
- On delivery inspect the chassis and complete an inspection report
- Assist SQ&E; Coordinator in maintaining SOP system.
- All equipment requiring calibration is to be calibrated each month and test results to be recorded in register.
- Support all activities to develop Volgren's customer base.
- Assist Quality Team by completing, tracking and reworking items found at end of line or customer inspection.

This position also requires the applicant to undertake a pre-employment medical which includes a drug and alcohol analysis, musculoskeletal evaluation and hearing test Applicants must have the right to work and live in Australia.
