Chef (Lead Chef) - Full Time The Provincial Geraldton - Outrage Pty Ltd

Permanent full-time - 38 hours per week The Provincial Geraldton is seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team in a full-time Lead Chef role. This is a genuine ongoing position based at our established hospitality venue in Geraldton.

Working with management and the kitchen team, the successful applicant will help lead day-to-day kitchen operations and maintain consistent standards of food quality, presentation, safety and service.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare, cook and present menu items to a consistently high standard.
- Help plan menus, specials and food-service operations.
- Coordinate kitchen workflow and service during busy periods.
- Guide, train and supervise kitchen staff as required.
- Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation.
- Assist with ordering, stock control, storage and minimising food waste.
- Maintain food-safety, hygiene and workplace-safety standards.
- Work with management on kitchen performance, menu delivery and cost control.
- Ensure equipment and work areas are properly maintained and cleaned.

Skills and experience

- A relevant commercial cookery qualification or recognised equivalent.




- At least two years of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and contribute to leading a kitchen team.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations and food-safety requirements.
- Ability to maintain quality and organisation during high-volume service.
- Reliable communication, teamwork and time-management skills.
- Availability to work a hospitality roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as reasonably required.
