As Chief Information and Digital Officer, you will provide enterprise leadership across ICT, digital, cyber security, information management, data governance and emerging technologies. Reporting to the Deputy Director-General, Corporate Services, you will shape the department’s technology strategy and governance, strengthen cyber resilience and digital capability, and drive customer-focused, reliable and costeffective services. With responsibility for a multidisciplinary function and eight direct reports, this is an opportunity to influence technology investment, transformation and service outcomes across the department and its customer agencies.
The Department of Housing and Public Works delivers services that make a real difference to Queenslanders, including housing assistance and homelessness support, public works, building and design, procurement and supply, industry regulatory reform, and support for Queensland's construction sector in the lead-up to Brisbane 2032.
The Chief Information and Digital Officer sits within Digital and Technology Services, Corporate Services and reports to the Deputy Director-General, Corporate Services.
With eight direct reports, the role leads the department's ICT, information management and digital strategies, aligning technology priorities with departmental and Queensland Government requirements.

Key Responsibilities Include As Chief Information and Digital Officer, you will:
- Lead the department's ICT, information management and digital strategies, aligning technology with business and government priorities
- Provide enterprise leadership and governance across ICT, digital, cyber security, information management, data governance and emerging technologies
- Lead cyber security, information security, privacy, digital risk and technology resilience to support secure, reliable and compliant services
- Foster a high-performance, customer-focused culture, building capability across digital, ICT, cyber security and data functions
- Champion accessible, user-centred digital service design that improves outcomes for Queenslanders, staff, customer agencies and partners
- Lead ICT architecture, major projects, portfolio investment, policies and standards to deliver interoperable, sustainable services
- Provide strategic commercial and vendor leadership, governance and whole-ofgovernment representation, maximising reliability, continuity and value for money.
The ideal candidate will bring
- Executive leadership experience across complex ICT, digital, cyber security, data or information management environments
- Strategic capability to translate technology strategy, transformation and investment priorities into practical outcomes
- Strong technical and commercial expertise across ICT governance, enterprise architecture, cyber resilience, digital transformation and supplier performance
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, including engagement with senior executives and whole-of-government stakeholders
- High-level communication, judgement and integrity, with agility to lead through complexity, ambiguity and change
- A solid record of building capable, collaborative and customer-focused teams and driving performance, innovation and continuous improvement.
