About the Role

Pickering Automotive Group is seeking a highly experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of our automotive group on the Gold Coast.

We are looking for an established finance professional with a strong accounting background and, ideally, significant experience working within car dealerships or automotive dealer groups.

The successful candidate will bring extensive industry knowledge, robust commercial judgement and the financial leadership required to support the continued growth and performance of the group.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee the financial operations of the automotive group
- Manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow
- Provide financial and commercial advice to senior management
- Monitor dealership financial performance and profitability
- Develop and maintain financial controls, policies and procedures
- Oversee accounting functions and financial reporting processes
- Analyse departmental and dealership performance
- Support strategic planning and business growth decisions
- Manage budgets and identify opportunities to improve profitability
- Ensure financial compliance and accurate record keeping




- Work closely with dealership management across different departments
- Provide clear financial reporting and insights to ownership and senior leadership

About You

- Significant experience in a senior finance or accounting position
- Automotive dealership / dealer group experience strongly preferred
- Strong accounting background
- Extensive knowledge of financial management and commercial operations
- Understanding of dealership financial structures and operations
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis skills
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Commercially minded with strong attention to detail
- Able to work closely with owners and senior management
- Relevant accounting, finance or business qualifications
- CPA/CA qualification highly regarded
