- Full Time | 8 Day Fortnight | 36 hours
- $2,491.72 per fortnight excluding applicable allowances plus Superannuation

About the team City Cleaning operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, delivering essential services that help keep the Gold Coast looking its best. Our dedicated team works across morning, afternoon, and night shifts to maintain clean, safe, and attractive public spaces and amenities for both residents and visitors.

About the role

Based at the City Link Depot in Carrara, the City Cleaning Worker is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of public spaces across the city. Duties include cleaning public toilets and barbecues, collecting litter, emptying public bins, street sweeping, hosing pedestrian areas, cleaning beaches, and removing illegally dumped waste.

As a City Cleaning Worker, you will help maintain public facilities, beaches, parks, foreshores, and roadways to ensure they remain clean, safe, and welcoming for the community.

Key deliverables:

- Public area cleaning, including litter collection, public toilet cleaning and barbeque cleaning
- Street sweeping
- Road and footpath flushing
- Sweeping the city-wide bikeways network
- Operating the City’s equipment and machinery
- Cleaning and recovery operations following weather events

If you have a specific interest in working a night shift roster, please outline this in your cover letter. We’re looking for people who have:

- C Class Driver’s Licence (Unrestricted) (Mandatory)
- MR Class Licence is highly desirable




- General Construction Induction Card (White) (Mandatory)
- A high level of motivation, a can-do attitude and be a team player
- Flexibility to be able to work over a weekend roster, and during public holidays
