WCP Civil Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Technician to join our team in Gnangara, Perth WA.

The role supports the delivery of civil construction projects by interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, assisting with site-based technical requirements, and ensuring construction works are carried out in accordance with project documentation and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Read and interpret civil engineering drawings, plans and specifications.
- Assist with the implementation of engineering requirements on civil construction projects.
- Conduct site inspections, measurements and checks to support construction activities.
- Assist with construction set-out and verify that works are completed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Prepare sketches, measurements, calculations and technical information as required.
- Calculate and record quantities of materials used or required for construction works.
- Assist with estimating costs, quantities and resource requirements.
- Monitor site works and identify discrepancies between construction activities, drawings and specifications.
- Assist with quality assurance and quality control inspections.
- Assist with testing and inspection of construction materials where required.
- Maintain accurate site records, technical documentation and project reports.




- Liaise with engineers, supervisors, contractors and site personnel regarding technical and construction requirements.
- Assist in identifying and resolving technical issues arising during construction.
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with relevant project specifications, safety requirements and quality standards.

Skills and Experience

Applicants should have

- A relevant qualification in civil engineering, civil construction, engineering technology or a related field.
- Previous experience in civil construction or civil engineering projects.
- Strong ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience with site measurements, construction set-out and quantity calculations.
- Good understanding of civil construction methods and practices.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Valuable communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with engineers, supervisors and construction teams.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements within the civil construction industry.
- A current Australian driver's licence.
