About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to lead our cleaning team and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across multiple sites throughout Sydney and surrounding areas. This is a hands-on supervisory role requiring regular travel between client sites. The successful candidate will be flexible, responsive and willing to occasionally assist with or cover cleaning shifts when unexpected staff shortages occur and no suitable replacement is available.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, support and mentor a team of more than 25 cleaners across multiple client sites.
- Coordinate daily site operations, staff rosters, shift coverage and workforce requirements.
- Regularly travel between client sites throughout Sydney and surrounding areas to supervise operations and maintain service standards.
- Schedule tasks, assign duties and conduct site inspections and spot checks to ensure service-level agreements, client KPIs and quality standards are achieved.
- Arrange replacement staff for absences and, where necessary, personally assist with or cover a cleaning shift when no suitable team member is available.
- Oversee and participate in cleaning operations when operationally required.
- Manage cleaning stock, equipment and machinery, ensuring appropriate availability and maintenance.
- Prepare operational reports and complete relevant administrative tasks.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client requests, concerns and feedback.
- Support the recruitment, induction, training and onboarding of new team members.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Identify and respond appropriately to operational,



safety and service issues across assigned sites.

About You

- At least two years' experience in a comparable cleaning supervisory role, supported by strong practical commercial cleaning experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing rosters and operations for teams of more than 25 employees.
- Willingness and ability to regularly travel between client sites throughout Sydney and surrounding areas.
- Flexibility to occasionally cover cleaning shifts when required due to unexpected staff shortages.
- Strong knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques, chemicals, materials, machinery and stock-ordering processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organisation, time-management and client-service skills.
- Ability to prioritise effectively under pressure and independently manage multiple sites.
- Proven ability to train, guide, supervise and mentor staff.
- Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements and procedures.
- Basic proficiency with computers and mobile applications.
- Valid working rights in Australia.
- Flexibility to work within operational hours, including responding to occasional unexpected staffing requirements.
