We proudly support participants with Supported Independent Living (SIL), Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), and Community Participation (CP) needs. Right now, we are actively working to expand our services across all of Western Australia. We believe in empowering our team to take the lead in their roles and make a real, positive impact on the lives of our participants.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Senior Service Coordinator, the Client Engagement Officer is a very important position in our team. You will be the warm, welcoming first point of contact for everyone joining Companion Health. We need someone who truly understands the NDIS space, loves connecting with people, and is great at building trusting relationships with Support Coordinators, participants, and their families. As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced, dedicated Client Engagement Officer. Are you passionate about building strong community relationships and empowering people with disabilities? Do you thrive in a dynamic, people-focused environment where every day brings a new opportunity to make a real difference?
We are looking for a Client Engagement Officer to join our dedicated team. This key role will focus on strengthening community networks, supporting client onboarding, and ensuring consistent, high-quality engagement with NDIS participants. You’ll work closely with hospitals, support coordinators, social workers, and other stakeholders to grow our referral base and ensure participants are supported from the moment they join us.
What You’ll Do:
- Actively monitor our website and internal systems to catch and review incoming referrals.
- Engage deeply with internal and external stakeholders,
focusing on building strong connections during the initial onboarding process.
- Work closely and build relationships with Support Coordinators, participants, and families to turn enquiries into referrals while delivering wonderful client service.
- Meet face-to-face with clients and families as needed to clearly understand their goals and how we can help.
- Review and easily navigate NDIS plans to make sure our services perfectly match what the participant needs.
- Liaise with our accounts team to get accurate quotes and smoothly draft NDIS Service Agreements.
- Manage new and existing funding requests so that NDIS funds are ready for service delivery.
- Use our software, Shiftcare, to make sure all case management activity, mandatory documents, and communications are clearly and accurately uploaded.
- Work as a team with operational staff and leaders to ensure a positive, smooth experience for the participant from start to handover to the respective Client Service Coordinator.
- Maintain current knowledge of NDIS processes and guidelines, attend relevant industry events and contribute to continuous improvement and quality management activities.
- Design simple, catchy marketing flyers to show off our services to the community.
Who We’re Looking For: We want someone who is driven, caring, and loves providing exceptional service. To do well in this role, you will need:
- A valuable understanding of the person-centred approach, how the NDIS works,
and the National Disability Service Standards.
- Experience working in the NDIS or disability sector, ideally in client engagement, intake, or case management.
- A highly engaging personality with great communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to work on your own, manage your daily priorities, and hit your goals in a busy environment.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and familiar systems.
- The ability to navigate portals like PRODA and the NDIS Commission portal.
- Experience using Shiftcare (this is highly regarded).
Desirable:
- Diploma in Community Services or equivalent or 3 years minimum experience in the disability/NDIS sector.
- Proven ability to build relationships and engage stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
- Knowledge of NDIS processes, quality and safeguarding framework, and client-centred practices.
