Tamworth Aboriginal Medical Service - Aboriginal Corporation (TAMS-AC) is looking for an experienced and passionate clinician to step into a leadership role as our Clinical Services Coordinator.
This is a excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with community while also supporting and mentoring a dedicated clinical team. You'll help drive quality care, support continuous improvement, and contribute to better health outcomes for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal community members across Tamworth and surrounding districts.

Tamworth Aboriginal Medical Service - Aboriginal Corporation (TAMS-AC) provides culturally appropriate preventative primary healthcare services designed to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people across Tamworth and surrounding communities.

About the Role
As the Clinical Services Coordinator, you will support the day-to-day operations of the clinic. You will work closely with the Clinical Operations Manager to ensure the clinic operates efficiently, maintains accreditation standards, and continues to deliver high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities In this role, you will:
Support the smooth day-to-day operation of clinic services.
Lead and support the clinic team to deliver positive patient experiences and improved health outcomes.
Build and maintain strong relationships with General Practices, Aboriginal Medical Services, hospitals, specialists and other healthcare providers.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and program documentation.
Prepare monthly and annual activity and evaluation reports as required.
Support and maintain compliance with AGPAL Accreditation Standards.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the clinic.
Provide leadership, mentoring and support to clinic staff.
Develop and implement systems and procedures that strengthen service delivery and accreditation compliance.
Foster positive internal and external working relationships.
Lead monthly clinic meetings with support from the Clinical Operations Manager.
Provide relief and operational support for the Clinical Operations Manager during periods of leave.
About You
Essential:
Aboriginality is a genuine occupational requirement for this position under Section 14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
Demonstrated experience delivering health services to Aboriginal communities.
Strong understanding of health issues impacting Aboriginal peoples and communities.
Excellent problem solving, interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills.
Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
Well-developed organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
Current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
Current National Police Check.
Current NSW Driver Licence.
Desirable:
Current AHPRA registration as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner.
Experience working within Aboriginal communities and/or health
Understanding of the impacts of colonisation, intergenerational trauma, and disadvantage on Aboriginal communities.
Relevant management or healthcare qualifications or training are desirable but not essential.
