This role is based in BRISBANE and surroundings, you’ll be part of a nationwide business, supporting commercial maintenance and fit-out projects delivered to a high professional standard.

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Maintenance Handyman / Carpenter with proven shopfitting experience to join our Brisbane team. This is a varied, hands-on role combining commercial maintenance, general handyman works, carpentry, shopfitting and minor fit-out projects across retail, hospitality, office and commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

· Carry out general commercial handyman and maintenance works

· Complete carpentry and shopfitting works

· Position best suited to someone with trade experience and Cert III Carpentry

· Fulfill the role as a site installer/site supervisor and carry out maintenance tasks

· Managing the day-to-day requirements on site and working with the Maintenance Manager and Coordinators to complete maintenance tasks and minor works projects

· Reporting each job/project and completing the project lifecycle where applicable

· Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager and Directors to grow the Project and Maintenance Departments

· Assist with the requirements of each maintenance and minor works project from receiving direction from the client,



engaging our contractors and reporting the outcome and issues directly to the client.

· Keep tools, vehicles, and work areas clean, organised, and compliant

· Carry out retail and commercial fit-out repairs and minor installations

· Perform reactive and preventative maintenance

· Repair and install doors, locks, hardware, cabinetry, fixtures and fittings

· Complete patching, adjustments, repairs and general building maintenance

· Read basic plans, drawings and scopes of work

· Assess jobs and identify materials and practical solutions

· Attend site inspections and respond to maintenance requests

· Coordinate trades and contractors where required

· Liaise professionally with clients and site contacts

· Complete job reports and required documentation

· Maintain safe work practices and comply with WHS requirements

About You:

We are looking for someone with:

· Strong commercial handyman / maintenance technician, or carpenter

· Holds a Certificate III

· Is self-motivated and possesses a robust work ethic with excellent time management skills

· Has strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

· Is reliable, well presented, punctual, professional, and safety-focused

· Is confident working across commercial environments

· Takes pride in neat, high-quality workmanship

· Carpentry background /Commercial shopfitting experience

· Experience across retail, hospitality, offices or commercial facilities





· Ability to complete both small handyman jobs and larger maintenance/fit-out tasks

· Strong practical problem-solving skills

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple jobs

· Good communication and client-facing skills

· High-quality workmanship and attention to detail

· Strong WHS awareness The ideal candidate will be an experienced all-rounder who is comfortable completing day-to-day handyman and maintenance tasks, while also having the carpentry and shopfitting skills required for more complex commercial works.

Licences & Requirements

- Current Driver’s Licence – essential
- Certificate III – preferred
- Carpentry / Handyman experience – essential
- Working with Children Card /Blue Card – required or willing to obtain
- White Card – required or willing to obtain
