We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join our established diagnostic pathology business and lead the expansion of our commercial pathology portfolio.

This is a key growth role for an ambitious business development professional who enjoys building relationships, identifying new opportunities and converting them into sustainable revenue. You will be responsible for developing new business across corporate, healthcare, occupational health, government and other commercial sectors, while strengthening relationships with existing clients and referral partners.

Working closely with our commercial testing and marketing teams, you will play a central role in identifying market opportunities, developing tailored solutions and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

- ​Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, their representatives and where applicable, key staff.
- Participate in SNP sponsored educational and promotional activities.
- Participate in planning, development, execution and monitoring of marketing strategies for commercial pathology.
- Generate marketing collateral (i.e. website content, social media campaigns, brochures, etc.) that aligns with SNP Core Values and internal guidelines to support commercial pathology marketing strategies.
- Organise and assist in marketing functions, trade shows, conferences, lab tours etc.
- Contribute to, and encourage staff to contribute to, continuous Quality Improvement initiatives within Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology and your area of responsibilities.
- Provide support to colleagues when required.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely monitoring reports as requested.
- Model and demonstrate the SNP Values, Code of Conduct, Code of Ethics and other applicable policies in the performance of this role.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

- Demonstrated experience in business development, sales or commercial account management.
- Proficiency within pathology, diagnostics, healthcare or medical services industry.​
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial approach with the ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Must hold a Type O, Class C, driver’s licence and have a demonstrated valuable driving record for the past 5 years​.
- Commitment to Sonic Healthcare core values.

- Commercial pathology or diagnostic services
- Occupational health and workplace testing
- Drug and alcohol testing / toxicology
- Corporate healthcare
- Government or institutional contracts and tendering processes
- Marketing
- Project or contract management
