About the Opportunity

Securecorp is seeking an experienced Control Room Operator to join our team at a leading biotechnology and pharmaceutical site in Broadmeadows. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced security professional who has a strong background in control room operations, CCTV monitoring, access control and security systems.

Working within a highly regulated and security-conscious environment, the successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining the safety and security of the site, its people, assets and operations.

The role requires an individual who is highly vigilant, professional, technologically capable and exceptionally detail-oriented, with the ability to follow strict procedures and respond appropriately to incidents and security events.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a Control Room Operator, your responsibilities will include:

- Operate and monitor the site's control room and associated security systems
- Monitor CCTV systems and identify suspicious activity, security risks and incidents
- Manage and monitor electronic access control systems
- Monitor alarms, security systems and site activity
- Control and verify authorised access to secure areas




- Respond appropriately to security, safety and emergency events
- Coordinate with Security Officers, site management and emergency services when required
- Review CCTV footage and provide accurate information to assist with investigations
- Maintain comprehensive control room logs, incident reports and security records
- Accurately document and escalate incidents in accordance with site procedures
- Monitor multiple systems and information sources simultaneously
- Identify potential security threats and take appropriate action
- Support investigations through CCTV review, information gathering and accurate reporting
- Ensure all security procedures, site protocols and access requirements are strictly followed
- Maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive site information
- Provide professional communication and support to site personnel, contractors and visitors

Key Selection Criteria

We are looking for an experienced security professional who can demonstrate:
- Previous Control Room Operator experience is essential
- Strong experience with CCTV and security monitoring systems
- Proven experience with electronic access control systems
- Excellent computer skills and confidence working across multiple computer-based systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong observational skills
- Ability to monitor multiple screens, systems and information sources simultaneously




- Ability to accurately record and manage large amounts of information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent understanding of confidentiality and information security
- Ability to strictly follow procedures, policies and site protocols
- Sound judgement and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Solid incident management and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with the wider security team
- Experience working within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, manufacturing, laboratory, medical, critical infrastructure or highly regulated environment will be highly regarded
- Current Victorian Security Licence
- Current First Aid & CPR certification

This position is specifically suited to an experienced Control Room Operator with strong computer, CCTV and access control capabilities. Previous control room experience is essential.

Rostered Hours

12 Hour Rotating Roster - DAYS & NIGHTS The role operates within a 24/7 security environment, with flexibility required to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends and public holidays as required.
