Hakata Gensuke is Australia’s leading Japanese ramen brand, renowned for our tonkotsu ramen, and commitment to excellence and customer experience. Operating across Victoria, Sydney, and Western Australia, we are looking for an experienced cook to join our Hawthorn Team.

This is an chance to be part of a professional Japanese QSR operation and contribute to a brand that continues to set the standard for quality and service.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Preparing and cooking ramen, toppings and side dishes
- Following established recipes and kitchen procedures
- Maintaining consistency in food quality and presentation
- Preparing ingredients and assisting with stock organisation
- Keeping your section clean, organised and ready for service
- Following food safety and hygiene standards
- Supporting the team during busy lunch and dinner periods

Our kitchens can get busy, so being organised, calm under pressure and willing to work as part of a team is important.





What We’re Looking For

Previous kitchen experience is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or fast-paced hospitality environment, but attitude and willingness to learn are equally important to us.

We’re looking for someone who is:

- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working in a busy kitchen
- Able to follow recipes and procedures consistently
- A good team player
- Willing to learn and take on responsibility
- Available across a mix of weekdays, evenings and weekends
- Holding valid Australian working rights

***Experience in Japanese cuisine is helpful but not essential.
