HEQ is a provider of support services to the mining, coal seam gas, and renewable energy sectors, delivered from our home base in regional Queensland, in close proximity to our clients.

We are currently seeking a qualified and safety-conscious Crane Operator & Dogman to join our operations team.

About the Role The Crane Operator will be responsible for safely operating mobile and Franna cranes to support workshop and field-based lifting operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring secure and efficient execution of lifts across a range of projects and client sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate mobile and Franna cranes in compliance with Australian Standards and HEQ Group procedures
- Conduct daily pre-start checks and report any defects or issues
- Perform lifting operations for servicing, component change-outs, and site mobilisations
- Collaborate with riggers, supervisors,



and safety officers to complete tasks safely and efficiently
- Complete lift plans, SWMS, and risk assessments as required
- Maintain a strong focus on safety and compliance with all site and legislative requirements

Requirements

- High Risk Work Licence CN, C1, C0
- Demonstrated experience operating Franna cranes (minimum two years preferred)
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Current Driver’s Licence (HR class or above desirable)
- Solid understanding of safe lifting practices and load chart interpretation
- Ability to work on remote sites and participate in site rotations as needed
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
