At Deck Chair Cruising, we specialise in booking unforgettable cruise holidays for Australian travellers. Thanks to steady, high-intent inbound demand, our cruise sales team is expanding, and we are looking for our next sales driver.

Travel industry experience is great, but raw sales ability and genuine cruise passion count for just as much.

Whether you’re an experienced travel consultant looking for a focused cruise specialist role, or a proven phone-sales gun who lives and breathes cruising, we want to hear from you. We don’t run weeks of slow classroom lectures; you’ll learn our in-house systems and booking workflows hands-on, hit the phones, and start converting warm leads into bookings.

What You’ll Be Doing:

- Convert High-Intent Inbound Enquiries: Handle warm phone, email, and online cruise leads—no cold calling.
- Proactive Follow-Ups: Work your pipeline, follow up quotes over the phone, overcome hesitations, and close bookings.
- Tailored Holiday Planning: Confidently guide clients through ship options, itineraries, cabin categories (inside to suites), and fare packages across major lines like Princess, Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Celebrity, and more.
- Booking Administration: Navigate cruise line booking engines, manage payments, process modifications, and issue accurate client documentation.
- Help Scale the Desk: Bring hungry sales energy and commercial drive to help grow our cruise division.

Who We Are Looking For (Two Pathways): Pathway A: The Experienced Travel Consultant

- 1–2+ years of retail travel, wholesale,



or cruise reservations experience.
- Ready to bypass mall retail hours and focus purely on high-demand cruise sales.

OR Pathway B: The Proven Sales Gun & Passionate Cruiser

- A proven track record in consultative or phone-based sales (e.g., finance, insurance, high-ticket inbound sales, or retail sales).
- Deep personal cruise knowledge: You’ve cruised multiple times, love exploring deck plans, understand cabin grades, and talk about ships and destinations with natural authority and enthusiasm.
- A self-directed learner who takes notes, asks smart questions, picks up CRM/booking software quickly, and doesn't need constant micromanagement.

General Requirements:

- Hunter/Closer Mentality: Motivated by sales targets, performance bonuses, and hitting personal goals.
- Excellent Phone Presence: Articulate, warm, and persuasive with Australian holidaymakers.

- Flexibility: Primarily standard weekday office hours, with openness to potential Saturday roster shifts in the future as the department expands.
