About the role

We are seeking a talented Curtains and Blinds In-home Sales Consultant to join our team at Mitchelton, QLD 4053. This is a full-time position where you will be the face of Murrays Interiors, delivering exceptional in-home consultations and building lasting customer relationships. You will play a crucial role in our sales strategy by meeting customers in their own homes, understanding their needs, and presenting tailored interior solutions that drive revenue and customer satisfaction.

This role offers the opportunity to work independently whilst being part of a supportive, customer-focused team.

Key responsibilities

- Conduct qualified in-home consultations with customers to assess their requirements and preferences for curtains, blinds, and related window furnishings
- Measure windows accurately and provide detailed product recommendations based on customer style, budget, and functional needs
- Present product samples and design options in a compelling and professional manner to drive sales conversions
- Prepare accurate quotes and sales proposals, ensuring all details are clearly documented and communicated
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent communication, follow-up, and customer service
- A focus on customer satisfaction and repeat business
- Stay informed about product ranges, features, pricing, and promotional offerings to provide knowledgeable advice
- Coordinate with the internal team to ensure timely order processing, installation scheduling, and customer delivery
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximise transaction value
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, quotes,



and sales activities using company systems

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in window furnishings, in home furnishings, interior design.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers
- Excellent numeracy skills and the ability to prepare accurate quotes and manage customer budgets
- Self-motivated and results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Valid driver's licence and reliable access to personal transport for in-home visits
- Ability to work independently whilst remaining collaborative and responsive to team support
- Professional appearance and demeanour with strong attention to detail
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer concerns professionally and promptly
- Knowledge of window furnishings, measurements, and installation processes is a must
- Willingness to learn about products and industry trends to provide expert guidance
