DC Coordinator — Distribution | Customer-facing role | Acacia Ridge, Brisbane
Living Unlimited currently based in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane Competitive salary | Monday–Friday | Relationship-led culture The DC Coordinator books customer deliveries and coordinates the movement of orders from the distribution centre to the customer's home. We're looking for someone reliable and organised to take on this role at our Acacia Ridge distribution centre, a key point of contact for our customers, retail stores and carriers.

The role
Based at the distribution centre, the DC Coordinator is the point of contact for customers, retail stores and carriers, and works closely with the DC Manager to make sure deliveries run on time and everyone is kept informed.
What you'll do
- Book all last-mile deliveries directly with customers and manage the delivery diary, confirmations, reminders, reschedules and cancellations
- Answer incoming calls to the distribution centre and make outgoing calls to customers for confirmations, delivery times, changes and follow-up
- Check delivery readiness before booking, special requirements, access restrictions, and that the order is released and approved for delivery
- Allocate delivery jobs to the right carrier according to capability, service area and vehicle capacity, and sort out day-to-day scheduling problems
- Monitor deliveries against agreed carrier service standards and follow up outstanding proof of delivery
- Coordinate customer returns, exchanges and reverse logistics bookings
- Act as the distribution centre's contact for retail stores on stock, delivery timing and order status
- Investigate failed deliveries and carrier incidents, and escalate issues that can't be resolved at Coordinator level
Who you are
- Experience in transport, logistics, distribution or delivery scheduling
- Experience dealing directly with customers by phone, including difficult calls
- Solid administration skills and good attention to detail
- Able to manage a diary and prioritise while the phone is busy
- Good problem solving and sound judgement
- Confident using CRM, warehouse and scheduling systems, and competent in Excel
- Furniture or bulky goods experience, and experience with third-party carriers and last-mile delivery, is an advantage
