Diesel Fitter Wanted, based in Jimboomba Qld – Top Hammer Drill Rigs

Donnelly Blasting Services is seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our maintenance team, servicing our fleet of Top Hammer Drill Rigs at sites throughout South East Queensland and Northern NSW.

Based out of our Jimboomba Workshop, you’ll play a key role in keeping our fleet running safely and efficiently, working on both scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs in the field on our late-model Epiroc T40/C50 and Sandvik Ranger DXi910/DP1110i rigs.

About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will:

- Perform scheduled servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance on top hammer drill rigs
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and diesel engine faults
- Carry out breakdown repairs on-site, often under time pressure
- Complete pre-start checks and maintain accurate service records
- Order and manage parts and consumables if required
- Work safely in line with site inductions, JSAs, and company HSE policies
- Travel between various sites as needed

About You





- Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic (or equivalent)
- Your own hand and power tools
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Proven experience working on top hammer surface drill rigs
- Experience with Epiroc and/or Sandvik Top Hammer drill rigs advantageous
- Sound knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot onsite
