Direct Care Worker – Home Aged Care (Casual)
All Aged Care
About Us
All Aged Care is a dynamic, progressive, not-for-profit aged care provider delivering high-quality, affordable in-home services and aged accommodation options. We focus on wellness and re-ablement, supporting older people to live well in their own homes with dignity and independence.
We specialise in meeting the needs of culturally diverse clients through a multi-disciplinary, bilingual workforce and an integrated, holistic approach to care. We work collaboratively with other health professionals to achieve the best possible care and lifestyle outcomes for every client.
Our Values
- Diligence in supporting older people in the Australian and multicultural communities
- Accountability to the organisation, our clients, and their families

This is a rewarding casual role that offers genuine variety, flexibility, and the chance to make a real difference every day — working one-on-one with clients in a home environment rather than a facility setting.

- Monitor and report changes in clients’ condition, wellbeing, and care needs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and records
- Work collaboratively with Care Coordinators, families, and the broader multi-disciplinary team
- Follow organisational policies, the Aged Care Quality Standards, and all relevant legislation
- Promote wellness, re-ablement, and client choice in all interactions
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- Current Australian Federal Police Check
- Open Australian driver’s licence
- Valid Australian working rights
- Own reliable, registered vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- Demonstrated ability to use technology and maintain an individual email address
- Sound knowledge of ageing, supporting people living at home, manual handling, hazards and risks, duty of care, professional boundaries, and reporting/recording requirements
Desirable
- Previous experience as a Direct Care Worker in a home care setting
- Experience delivering quality care across low to high care needs
- Proven ability to follow care plans and achieve client outcomes to a high standard
- Experience using care equipment (hoists, slide sheets, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving, customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team with minimal supervision
- Ability to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Willingness to undertake ongoing career development and training
- Ability to speak a language other than English (highly regarded)
Personal Attributes
- Caring, compassionate nature with a genuine enjoyment of supporting older people
- Empathy and understanding of the needs of clients and their families
- Respectful, enthusiastic, and diligent
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to prioritise to achieve outcomes
- Patient, flexible, and practical with a sense of humour
- Observant, innovative, and committed to continuous improvement
What We Offer
- Casual employment with flexible hours that support genuine work-life balance
- Freedom and autonomy of home care work — variety of clients, locations, and daily tasks
- Supportive Care Coordinators who are there to guide and assist you
- Opportunity to build meaningful, ongoing relationships with clients in their own homes
- A values-driven, not-for-profit organisation focused on quality care and positive outcomes
- Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
- Supportive multi-disciplinary and bilingual team environment
