Provide high-level expert technical advice and qualified support to executives, management, and colleagues in accordance with accounting standards, legislative requirements, and NSW Treasury guidelines and mandates to enable accurate financial reporting and effective management accounting,

budgeting and reporting.

- Provide consultation, manage, and review high-level communications, briefings, reports, submissions, and notes to the head of agencies, including contributions to the annual report, submissions to Treasury,

and reporting to Parliament, ensuring information is comprehensive, accurate, and timely.

- Maintain updated finance policies in compliance with accounting standards, legislative requirements, and NSW Treasury guidelines and collaborate with colleagues to assess and implement changes to finance policies and practices, aiming to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the organisation.

- Lead and/or actively contribute to ad-hoc projects designed to advance organisational-level strategic and operational objectives.
- Provide guidance on interpreting complex transactions and arrangements,



focusing on accurate accounting treatment and best practices in alignment with internal financial controls and sound financial policymaking.
- Monitor for compliance with all relevant legislative requirements and NSW Treasury guidelines, promoting proper financial practices and controls throughout the organisation.
- Analyse intricate transactions to determine the appropriate accounting treatment, supporting informed decision-making through accurate impact analysis.
- Facilitate alignment of financial practices with NSW Treasury mandates, contributing to the organisation's ability to make effective and compliant decisions.
