Disability Support Worker – Casual / Temporary

We are looking for a reliable, caring and confident Disability Support Worker to join our NDIS business on a short-term casual basis.

Start date: November 2026

Contract: Approximately 3 months, with the possibility of extension if required

Hours: Approximately 10 hours per week. Hours may vary and may be higher or lower depending on client needs.

Pay rate: $30–$35 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Travel reimbursement/allowance is incorporated into the agreed hourly rate.

About the role

This is primarily a community access and social support role. Duties may include:

- Taking clients to the movies
- Going for walks or visiting parks
- Taking clients out for lunch or cafés
- Supporting clients with community activities and outings
- Providing companionship and social support
- Encouraging independence and community participation
- Ensuring clients are supported safely and respectfully while in the community

Requirements

Applicants must

- Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support, Health Services Assistance/Nursing, Disability Support, or another relevant qualification




- Hold a current Australian driver's licence
- Have access to a reliable and insured vehicle
- Be comfortable transporting clients in their own vehicle
- Be reliable, patient, respectful and comfortable working independently
- Have good communication skills

Previous experience working with NDIS participants or people with disability is highly regarded. NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid/CPR and other relevant checks may also be required before commencing employment.

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour

- Provisional P1 driver licence (Preferred)
