Yanchep Beach Club is looking for an experienced, energetic, and hospitality-focused Duty Manager to join our leadership team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident hospitality professional who enjoys being on the floor, leading a team, creating memorable guest experiences, and ensuring the venue runs smoothly from open to close.

As Duty Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Venue Manager and leadership team while taking ownership of day-to-day operations during your shifts. You’ll be a hands-on leader who leads by example, motivates the team, solves problems quickly, and ensures our guests receive exceptional service every time.

About the Role

As Duty Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing venue operations across food, beverage, service, events, and guest experience. You will be a visible and approachable leader who can confidently manage busy services, support team members, respond to guest needs, and maintain high standards across the venue.

Working closely with the Venue Manager and wider leadership team, you will help drive operational excellence while contributing to a positive, professional, and enjoyable workplace culture.

What You'll Be Doing

- Lead and oversee day-to-day venue operations during your shifts.
- Take ownership of service standards, guest experience, and overall venue presentation.
- Lead, motivate, coach, and support team members to perform at their best.
- Ensure smooth service across food, beverage, functions, and events.
- Manage busy periods confidently while remaining calm and solutions-focused.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures and ensure all operational requirements are completed.
- Support rostering, staffing levels, breaks, and effective service flow.




- Provide on-the-floor leadership and step in wherever required to support the team.
- Handle guest feedback, complaints, and service issues professionally and effectively.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and venue readiness.
- Ensure compliance with RSA, liquor licensing, food safety, WHS, and company procedures.
- Assist with team training, onboarding, performance management, and development.
- Communicate effectively with senior management regarding operational matters and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the venue in achieving service, sales, operational, and financial targets.

About You

You are a passionate hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and genuinely enjoys leading people. You have the confidence to take charge of a shift, the communication skills to bring a team together, and the attention to detail required to ensure the venue operates to a consistently high standard.

You will bring

- Previous experience as a Duty Manager, Assistant Manager, Supervisor, or similar hospitality leadership role.
- Strong people leadership and communication skills.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
- The ability to lead by example and remain hands-on during busy services.
- Excellent organisation, time management, and attention to detail.
- The confidence to make decisions and take ownership during your shifts.
- A calm, professional,



and solutions-focused approach to challenges.
- The ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Strong knowledge of food, beverage, service, and venue operations.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with the wider management team.

Essential Requirements

- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA).
- Approved Manager Card, where required.
- Food Safety Certificate.

Desirable

- Previous Duty Manager or Assistant Manager experience.
- Experience in a high-volume restaurant, bar, functions, or coastal venue.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Experience with staff training, rostering, and performance management.
