What you need to know...

- temporary part time until 31 March 2028
- two positions available – 42 hours per fortnight and 28 hours per fortnight
- the package: $87,680 plus superannuation per annum pro rata
- location: Yamba Community Pool

About the role

Are you passionate about aquatics, community and creating a safe, welcoming environment for everyone?

We are currently seeking two enthusiastic and motivated Duty Supervisors to join our team at the beautiful Yamba Community Pool.



This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy aquatic environment, supporting a great community and making a positive difference to the experience of our customers.

We have two temporary part time positions available; 42 hours per fortnight and 28 hours per fortnight. The successful applicants must also be available for additional hours to meet seasonal demands.

We are looking for Supervisors who take pride in great customer service and enjoy supporting the local community. Our Duty Supervisors must have experience in overseeing the daily operations of aquatic centres including the supervision of lifeguards, programming, customer service and pool supervision. You must have a good understanding of GSPO, work health and safety, and legislative health regulations.

To be considered for this position you will need to:

Current Drivers Licence

Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate

Current First Aid Certificate (including CPR)





Current Working with Children Check

- Attach a cover letter (2 pages maximum) and an up-to-date resume (5 pages maximum) that clearly details your skills & experience as relevant to this position. You will need to demonstrate how you meet the focus capabilities and how your skills will enable you to achieve the key accountabilities.
- Answer the target questions - maximum 300 words each question

Q2. Can you provide an example of how you managed multiple tasks to meet the demands of an aquatic centre?

Other important information

This position is located at Council's Yamba Community Pool, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.

A probation period applies to this position.
