As the ECT / 2IC, you will work closely with the Centre Director to deliver high-quality early childhood education and care while supporting the day-to-day leadership of the service. You will play an important role in mentoring educators, maintaining compliance, and creating engaging learning environments that support children's development.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality education and care in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Plan, implement and evaluate engaging educational programs
- Observe, document and support children's learning and development
- Maintain compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Regulations and service policies
- Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Foster a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
- Support the Centre Director with the daily management of the service and leadership of the team
- Mentor and support educators to achieve high-quality outcomes
About you
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-approved equivalent), or be actively working towards your qualification
- Current NSW Working With Children Check
- Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A positive, reliable and adaptable approach
- The ability to work within a structured and compliant setting
- Strong leadership skills with the confidence to support and guide a team
- A genuine passion for providing high-quality education and care
