We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ECC Veterinarian to join our privately-owned veterinary emergency hospital in Cairns, Queensland. This is a full-time, permanent role working within a team of over 40 skilled professionals, including veterinarians, veterinary nurses, and support staff. You’ll be part of a close-knit and collaborative team that delivers high-quality emergency care to a wide range of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide high-quality emergency and critical care to small animal patients
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and emergency surgical procedures where required
- Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues in a fast-paced environment
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
- Work rostered shifts including weekends, evenings, and public holidays as part of a rotating schedule

Requirements:

- Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent)
- Eligible for registration as a Veterinary Practitioner in Queensland, Australia
- Strong interest and/or experience in emergency and critical care
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to thrive in a quick-paced, high-pressure environment
