About the role

Working closely with the General Manager, you will become a senior member of the Queensland operation. You will be responsible for overseeing retail and commercial electrical projects throughout Brisbane and, when required, other areas of Queensland. You will help coordinate electricians and subcontractors, maintain strong client relationships and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

This is a hands-on leadership position where you will occasionally assist on the tools when required to support the team and keep projects moving.

Key responsibilities

- Managing electrical projects from commencement through to completion
- Coordinating labour, subcontractors, materials and project programs
- Supervising and supporting electricians and apprentices
- Conducting site meetings, inspections and project handovers
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and scopes of work
- Monitoring project progress, costs, variations and deadlines
- Liaising with builders, clients, suppliers and other trades
- Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and workmanship
- Assisting with estimating, procurement and project planning when required
- Supporting the General Manager with the day-to-day operation of the Queensland division

About you

- Solid experience within the electrical industry




- Previous experience managing or supervising electrical projects
- Experience delivering commercial or retail fit-out projects
- An Australian electrical licence and strong electrical trade background
- A current Australian driver's licence
- The ability to read and interpret electrical and construction drawings
- Strong leadership and team-management skills
- Excellent organisation, communication and problem-solving abilities
- Confidence dealing directly with builders, clients and site managers
- A practical and solutions-focused approach
