ABOUT THE ROLE

Backam Group is currently seeking experienced Electrical Trade Assistants for an ASAP start with a well-established manufacturing business based in Prestons, NSW. This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical TA looking for ongoing work, full-time hours, and long-term career opportunities within a busy manufacturing environment.

You will be working alongside qualified electricians assisting with electrical assembly, switchboard manufacturing, wiring, cable management, and production activities.

? Role: Electrical Trade Assistant

? Employment Type: Casual (Ongoing)

⏰ Hours: Monday - Friday | 7:00am - 3:30pm

➕ Overtime Available During Busy Periods

? Pay Rate: $37.00 - $41.00 per hour casual (pending experience)

? Start: ASAP

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assisting electricians with electrical assembly and manufacturing activities
- Assisting with switchboard assembly and wiring
- Cable installation and cable management
- Reading and interpreting basic electrical drawings
- Using hand and power tools
- Supporting workshop and production operations
- General electrical trade assistant duties




- Maintaining safe work practices and quality standards

ABOUT YOU

You are electrically minded, hands-on, and eager to contribute to a busy workshop and manufacturing environment. To be successful, you will have:

✅ Minimum 2 years Electrical Trade Assistant experience - Essential

✅ Experience working within manufacturing, assembly, or electrical workshop environments

✅ Experience using hand and power tools

✅ Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude

✅ Driver's licence and reliable transport - Essential

✅ Strong work ethic and reliability

✅ Ability to work overtime when required

✅ Commitment to workplace safety

Highly Regarded

- Previous switchboard wiring experience
- Electrical trade qualifications or apprenticeship experience
- Manufacturing experience
- LF Forklift Licence
