Details: Are you an experienced human resources professional who enjoys providing advice, solving complex employee matters and building solid workplace relationships?
The Human Resources Branch within Health and Community Services Directorate (HCSD) is seeking a motivated and collaborative Employee Relations Senior Advisor to join the Employee Relations team. In this role, you will provide accurate and trusted advice and support to managers and staff across a broad range of employee and industrial matters.
As a key member of the team, you will apply your knowledge of the employment framework (ACTPS Enterprise Agreements, Public Sector Management Act 1994 and Fair Work Act 2009) and HR policy to deliver high-quality advice, analyse workforce issues, prepare correspondence and reports, and contribute to strategic workforce initiatives.
What we are looking for
- Experience providing advice on employee relations, industrial relations or broader human resource matters.
- Knowledge of employment legislation, enterprise agreements and HR policies.
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written communications stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Experience using HR information systems (e.g. CHRIS21).

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification or demonstrated relevant experience in human resources are highly desirable.
Notes: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. This position operates under the ACT Government's hybrid working arrangements, providing flexibility to work from home and from an activity-based (ABW) office environment.
