About the Role

n

We're looking for a motivated AML/CTF Support Officer to join our AML/CTF team and play a key role in supporting our financial crime framework. This is an excellent chance for someone looking to develop foundations in their AML/CTF career to further develop their expertise in a supportive, purpose‐driven banking environment. You'll gain experience in transaction monitoring, investigations, regulatory reporting and program uplift activities.

Key Responsibilities

n

In this role, you will:

n

Transaction Monitoring & Investigations

n

n
- Review alerts and customer activity to identify unusual or suspicious behaviour
n
- Conduct investigations and contribute to the preparation of Suspicious Matter Reports (SMRs)
n

n

AML/CTF Reporting & Compliance

n

n
- Support timely and accurate reporting to AUSTRAC in line with regulatory obligations
n
- Maintain appropriate documentation and audit trails
n
- Assist with onboarding reviews, KYC processes and enhanced due diligence activities
n
- Support periodic reviews of higher‐risk customers
n

n

Program Support & Uplift

n

n
- Contribute to improvements in AML/CTF controls, processes and systems
n
- Assist with internal reviews, audits and regulatory requests
n

n

Stakeholder Engagement

n

n
- Work closely with frontline teams to support understanding of AML/CTF obligations
n
- Provide practical, risk‐based guidance to the business
n

n

Desired Skills and Experience

n

About You

n

n
- Prior experience in AML/CTF investigations, financial crime or compliance is preferred; however,



candidates with extensive Line 1 banking experience will also be considered
n
- Demonstrated understanding of the AML/CTF Act and AUSTRAC reporting requirements
n
- Experience in one or more of:n n
- transaction monitoring
n
- investigations / case management
n
- KYC / onboarding / CDD
n

- Strong attention to detail and analytical capability
n
- Developing confidence in stakeholder engagement
n
- A proactive mindset and willingness to learn
