Waste and Environmental Site Support:
- Collect, sort and correctly store general waste, recyclables and regulated waste (oils, chemicals, batteries) for removal from the island.
- Assist with spill response, including checking and restocking spill kits and bunded storage areas.
- Carry out beach, foreshore and bushland clean-ups and litter removal.
- Report environmental incidents, spills, wildlife concerns or non-conformances to the Chief Engineer without delay.
Environmental Monitoring and Records:
- Assist with routine environmental checks (water quality sampling, dust, sediment controls, stormwater discharge points) and keep basic records and photos as directed.
- Assist with wildlife protection measures, including turtle and bird nesting areas, and light and noise controls where required.
General Site Support:
- Assist the gardening/landscaping team and tradespeople with general labouring as required.
- Assist in the cleaning and basic maintenance of plant, tools and equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures and environmental guidelines.
- Be flexible and adaptable to changing work priorities and work effectively as part of a team.

- Experience working in a National Park or Marine Park environment.
