Estimator | Commercial Construction | Toowoomba

My client - a highly regarded commercial construction business, is looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to its Toowoomba team as it continues to grow its project pipeline across the Darling Downs and wider Queensland market.

About The Opportunity:

You will be joining an established team with experienced people around you and a strong pipeline of projects across Toowoomba and the surrounding region.

The position offers genuine progression, exposure to a broad range of commercial projects and the opportunity to further develop your estimation skills within a supportive construction workplace.

Working alongside experienced construction and estimating professionals, this is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator who wants exposure to a diverse range of projects while continuing to develop their technical and commercial capability.

The business has an established presence in the region and delivers quality projects across a broad range of commercial construction sectors.

About The Role:

As part of the estimating and pre-construction team, you will assist with and manage tenders across a varied portfolio of projects.

Responsibilities will include

- Reviewing tender and construction documentation
- Quantity take-offs and detailed measurement
- Preparing trade scopes and tender packages
- Obtaining subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Analysing and levelling quotations
- Preparing detailed estimates and cost plans
- Identifying tender risks and opportunities
- Assisting with value management and alternative construction solutions
- Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and consultants




- Preparing tender submissions and supporting documentation
- Maintaining estimating databases and current market pricing
- Assisting with tender handovers to project delivery teams

About You:

You will ideally bring

- Experience within commercial construction
- Understanding of construction methodology and sequencing
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Exposure to subcontractor procurement and trade pricing
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and relationship-building skills
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction, quantity surveying or engineering will be highly regarded
