About the role

Mayneline Joinery Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our growing team on a full-time basis at our Arundel, QLD location. This is a strategic position that plays a crucial role in our business operations, bridging the gap between project conception and execution. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations for our joinery and construction projects, directly impacting the company's profitability and competitiveness in the market.

Your expertise will help drive our business forward by ensuring projects are priced competitively whilst maintaining healthy margins.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates and quotations for joinery and construction projects
- Review project drawings, specifications and client requirements to determine scope of work
- Conduct site inspections and measurements to inform accurate estimations
- Analyse material costs, labour requirements and overheads to develop competitive pricing
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain accurate pricing for materials and components
- Maintain and update pricing databases and cost records for future reference
- Communicate effectively with clients, project managers and internal teams regarding estimates and project costs
- Monitor actual project costs against estimates to identify variances and improve future estimating accuracy
- Prepare tender documentation and support the tendering process
- Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes and procedures

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction or joinery industry
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, labour costs and project delivery methods
- Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office applications
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail




- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound judgements under pressure
- Knowledge of relevant construction industry standards and regulations
- A commitment to accuracy, integrity and skilled conduct
