About the role

We are looking for an estimator or junior estimator to assist in the preparation and review of detailed cost estimates for construction projects using BuildXact, collaborate with project managers, quantity surveyors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost projections, and participate in contract preparation and negotiation.

Key responsibilities

- Assist in the preparation and review of detailed cost estimates for construction projects using BuildXact
- Collaborate with project managers, quantity surveyors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost projections
- Participate in the preparation and negotiation of contracts, subcontracts, and procurement agreements
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of estimating templates, databases, and other tools
- Provide administrative support to the estimating and contract management teams as needed

About you

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field




- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders
- A proactive and collaborative approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Drivers licence and reliable car
