The Role

Join Nine Mile’s APAC ETF Market Making team as a Trader, based in Sydney, with a primary focus on the Taiwan and Hong Kong ETF markets.

Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and executing trading strategies across ETFs listed and underlying in Taiwan and Hong Kong.
- Applying advanced ETF pricing models, fair value calculation, and NAV estimation across Taiwan and Hong Kong trading sessions
- Identifying and exploiting arbitrage opportunities between local ETFs, their underlying constituents, and related derivative instruments
- Researching and developing new systematic trading opportunities within Taiwan and Hong Kong ETF markets




- Collaborating closely with the broader market-making team
- Designing, implementing, and enhancing algorithmic trading strategies and execution tools tailored to local market microstructure
- Proactively engaging with regulators, issuers, exchanges, and brokers across Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the wider APAC region

What You Will Bring

- 2+ years of relevant trading experience at a High-Frequency Trading or Market Making firm, ideally with direct exposure to ETFs
- Strong knowledge of ETF mechanics, pricing, NAV calculation, index replication, creation/redemption flows, and arbitrage strategies
- Familiarity with Taiwan and/or Hong Kong market structure, trading rules, and settlement conventions.
- Proficiency in Python
- Highly advanced capability in probability and statistics
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- A genuine passion for financial markets, particularly systematic and quantitative trading
- Strong academic record in Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Econometrics, Computer Science, or a related discipline
