About Rural Health West
Rural Health West aims to improve access to quality healthcare for rural communities through the provision of a highly skilled, motivated and sustainable medical, nursing, midwifery, dental and allied health workforce. We are a not-for-profit organisation primarily funded through WA Country Health Service and the Australian Government Department of Health.
Short term contract (1.0 FTE, Full-time)
We’re looking for an experienced Event Coordinator to join our small, dedicated team on a short-term contract, to May 2027, with the possibility of extension.
You’ll play an significant role in delivering meaningful, high-quality conferences, awards and professional events that connect, recognise and support rural and remote health professionals across Western Australia.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys the energy and variety of event delivery, from coordinating venues, suppliers and contractors behind the scenes, to helping bring events to life on the day.
What you will be doing
As Event Coordinator, you’ll be involved across every stage of event delivery, including:
- Planning and coordinating conferences, awards and professional events
- Booking and managing venues, suppliers and contractors
- Coordinating venue, AV and technical requirements
- Liaising with event delegates throughout the registration and event process
- Supporting event communications and logistics
- Coordinating on-site event delivery and troubleshooting on the day
- Working closely with the Event Manager to ensure events are delivered on time,
on budget and to a high standard
About you You’re an experienced event professional who enjoys working collaboratively and takes pride in delivering well-organised, purposeful events.
You’ll bring
· Proven experience coordinating conferences, events or similar professional functions
· Experience working with venues, suppliers, contractors and other event partners
· Excellent communication and relationship-management skills, with the ability to build positive, lasting relationships
· A collaborative approach and willingness to pitch in wherever needed
