About the Role

Queensland Car Hire is looking for an experienced Car Hire Manager to help manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of our growing rental business.

We are specifically looking for someone who has previous experience in the car rental, vehicle hire or automotive industry and understands how a successful rental operation should run.

This is a hands-on management role covering customers, vehicles, administration and daily fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day car rental operations
- Coordinate vehicle bookings, availability and customer requirements
- Organise vehicle pick-ups and drop-offs
- Oversee customer vehicle handovers and returns
- Manage rental agreements and associated paperwork
- Monitor fleet availability and vehicle movements
- Coordinate vehicle cleaning, servicing and preparation
- Ensure vehicles are ready for customers on time
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve operational issues
- Maintain accurate rental and vehicle records




- Support and coordinate drivers and other team members
- Help improve systems and efficiency across the rental business

About You

- Previous car rental or vehicle hire experience highly regarded
- Automotive industry experience will also be considered
- Previous management or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong administration and organisational skills
- Confident dealing directly with customers
- Good understanding of vehicle and fleet operations
- Able to manage multiple bookings and vehicles at once
- Reliable, professional and self-motivated
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Current Australian driver's licence
