About the role

We're looking for an experienced Cook or Qualified Chef to join our busy kitchen team at Squires Loft Cairns, located in one of Cairns' most iconic locations at the Cairns Aquarium. We are a fast-paced, high-volume waterfront steakhouse, with busy prep and service periods, large functions and long, demanding shifts.

Key responsibilities

- Work through high-volume prep and service
- Manage busy functions and long shifts
- Maintain strong food safety standards
- Contribute to kitchen operations in a quick-paced environment

About you

- Minimum 4 years' commercial kitchen experience
- Grill experience is a big bonus
- Strong food safety knowledge is a must
- Confident working through high-volume prep and service
- Comfortable with busy functions and long shifts
- Reliable, organised and able to work well under pressure
- Positive,



enthusiastic and upbeat attitude
- Strong work ethic and a genuine interest in a long-term career

A working trial period is required as part of the recruitment process. For the right applicant, sponsorship may be available following a successful trial period and subject to suitability and eligibility.
