Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, we are seeking a reliable and experienced Installer to take ownership of installation projects and lead teams on site.

About the Role

As an Experienced Installer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality installations of gates, fencing, and automation systems while supervising site works and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. You will play a key role in maintaining the reputation that Victorian Gate & Fencing Group is known for across Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead installation teams on-site

- Install automatic gates, fencing, and access control systems
- Read and interpret plans and drawings
- Ensure installations meet company quality standards
- Maintain safe work practices in line with OH&S; requirements
- Coordinate materials, tools, and site readiness
- Communicate professionally with customers and management
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues
- Maintain clean, organised job sites
- Complete job documentation, photos, and time logs





What We're Looking For

We are looking for a dependable, hands-on, experienced candidate who takes pride in their workmanship and can run jobs confidently.

Essential

• Proven experience installing gates, fencing, or similar trade work

- Ability to lead a team and take responsibility on site
- Strong problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and quality workmanship
- White Card
- Current Driver's Licence
- Reliable and punctual work ethic
- Strong communication skills

Highly Regarded

• Experience with automatic gates or gate motors

- Welding or fabrication experience
- Electrical or low-voltage experience
- Experience supervising installers or teams
- Forklift or machinery experience
