About the role

City Electric Supply Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated and customer-focused External Account Manager to join our Edgeworth team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for building and strengthening relationships with key customers across the electrical wholesale sector while driving sales growth, customer satisfaction, and long-term business success.

Key responsibilities

- Manage, develop, and grow a portfolio of key customer accounts.
- Create and implement strategic account plans to increase sales, profitability, and customer engagement.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and provide technical product support and advice.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and prospective customer networks.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless and positive customer experience.
- Maintain accurate account records and provide regular reporting on customer performance and sales activity.
- Contribute to the achievement of branch sales objectives and broader business growth strategies.

About you

- A minimum of 2 years' experience in sales, business development, or account management, ideally within the electrical wholesale, industrial, or related sectors.




- A demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships and consistently achieve sales growth targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Robust commercial awareness, problem-solving capabilities, and a customer-first mindset.
- A current driver's licence and the flexibility to travel throughout the Newcastle region.
