Hays are partnered with a Defence Consulting supporting a Defence capability program supporting the Capability Development Division within a large Program. This position will provide critical financial and business support services to enable effective governance, resource management and commercial operations across the Division.

Your new role

As the Financial / Business Support Officer, you will support a broad range of financial management, procurement and administrative functions. You will work closely with Defence stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial frameworks, reporting requirements and budget management processes.

- Processing invoices and associated ERP transactions
- Maintaining procurement and contract registers, records and filing systems.
- Preparing purchase orders and transactional documentation.
- Supporting Defence financial planning activities including Budget Estimates, Additional Estimates, EOFY and IIP processes.
- Monitoring budgets, expenditure,



commitments and financial performance.
- Preparing reports, briefings and presentations for senior executives.
- Providing procurement and commercial support where required
- Developing procedures and supporting knowledge transfer activities

What you'll need to succeed

- Current NV1 Security Clearance.
- Experience within Defence, Federal Government or a complex regulated environment.
- Exposure to SAP or similar ERP financial systems.
- Financial administration, budget monitoring and reporting experience.
- Strong organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience supporting procurement, contract administration or commercial activities would be highly regarded.
