An opportunity has become available to join the team at Peter & Una Seafoods, one of Tasmania’s most well-known seafood companies. We are looking for a Fish Filleter / Seafood Processor to join our wholesale production team in East Devonport.

This is a full-time, permanent position primarily involving filleting and processing a variety of wild-caught fish species, along with general day-to-day duties within our wholesale operation.

Previous fish filleting or seafood processing experience is highly regarded; however, we are willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic and is keen to learn.

About the role

Duties will include:

- Filleting, trimming and processing a variety of fish species
- Maintaining good fillet recovery and product quality
- General seafood processing and production duties
- Packing and preparing orders
- Manual handling
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Following food safety and workplace safety procedures

About you

Ideally, you will have:
- Previous fish filleting, knife or seafood processing experience
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn




- Good attention to detail
- The ability to work efficiently as part of a team
- A current Australian driver's licence
- Forklift licence preferred but not essential
- The ability to undertake manual handling as part of your daily duties

We process a range of fresh wild-caught fish, including seafood caught by our own vessel, FV Petuna Endeavour, along with premium Tasmanian Atlantic Salmon, Ocean Trout and other locally sourced seafood.
