With operations near Coober Pedy producing and exporting more than 3Mtpa of high-grade iron ore, we are continuing to grow and are looking for experienced Fixed Plant Operators to join our processing team.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on and safety-focused Fixed Plant Operator who enjoys working as part of a high-performing processing team. You will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of our crushing and processing plant, with opportunities to operate large mobile equipment including CAT 988 and CAT 992 loaders, as well as fixed plant and other site equipment.

What You'll Be Doing

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Operating CAT 988/992 loaders to feed the crusher and side cast.
- Operating the crushing plant and control room to achieve production and quality targets.
- Monitoring plant performance and identifying operational issues.
- Assisting with breakdowns and supporting the maintenance team.
- Inspecting and replacing screens as required.
- Operating a skid steer/Bobcat for plant clean-up and housekeeping.
- Operating excavators and other mobile equipment where appropriately ticketed and competent.
- Conducting product sampling and quality checks.




- Completing plant and equipment inspections and reporting defects.
- Completing daily pre-starts and maintaining accurate records.
- Assisting with crusher servicing and maintenance.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and efficient work environment.
- Following all site safety procedures and contributing to a strong safety culture.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is reliable, safety-focused and takes pride in their work.

Essential:

- Demonstrated experience operating crushers/fixed plant in a mining, quarrying or similar workplace.
- Front End Loader ticket/competency.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Current Police Check or ability to obtain one.
- Ability to work extended shifts and meet the requirements of a remote mining operation.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability and willingness to assist with crusher servicing and maintenance.
- Strong commitment to safety and following site procedures.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Highly regarded:

- Excavator ticket/competency.
- Skid Steer/Bobcat ticket.
- EWP ticket.
- Non-Slew Crane ticket.
- Previous experience working on a mine site.
- Experience operating a crushing or fixed processing plant.
- Experience in control room operations.
