Food Content Creator – Paid Batch Filming Project

We’re looking for a Melbourne-based food content creator to assist with a paid batch filming project in a home kitchen in Melbourne’s inner north, around 6 km from the CBD.

The location is about a 10-minute walk from public transport, with some free on-street parking available nearby.

Rate: $40 per hour

Hours: approximately 10am–4pm

Work type: Casual contractor. You’ll need an ABN to invoice for the work.

We’re looking for someone who can cook, style and film simple recipe content for short-form social media.

You’ll be provided with recipes to work through. The filming setup and preferred visual style will be demonstrated at the beginning, but you’ll need to be comfortable working independently once you understand the process.

You don’t need to be a professional cook, but you should:

- Have prior experience creating short-form video, UGC or similar content.
- Feel confident cooking simple recipes and following written instructions closely.
- Have strong attention to detail and valuable visual judgement.
- Be comfortable filming vertical content and working from visual references.
- Be able to make sensible decisions about framing, angles and which cooking moments need to be captured.
- Be comfortable styling finished food for camera.

Your main focus will be cooking, styling and filming. Phones and filming equipment will be provided, and no editing is required.

We’ll aim to have a kitchen assistant helping with ingredient prep, dishes, cleaning and kitchen resets on filming days, but they may not be available every day. You should be comfortable pitching in with normal kitchen clean-up when needed,



including loading and unloading the dishwasher and washing some pots, pans or utensils by hand.

You may need to give the assistant some basic direction, double-check pre-measured ingredients and help keep the filming workflow moving smoothly throughout the day.

The content will include hands, arms and some body-in-frame shots. Your face does not need to appear or be identified. You may be asked to wear selected clothing or an apron during filming to keep the visual style consistent.

Experience filming food content is preferred, but strong UGC or lifestyle content experience is welcome.

Ideally, we’re looking for someone who can attend full filming blocks, but applicants available for a minimum of two days within a block will still be considered. We’re looking for someone reliable who could potentially return for future batch filming projects every 1–3 months.
