About the Role
Acting as a trusted advisor and change partner, the Strategic People Partner will work closely with Executive and senior leaders to translate business strategy into practical and sustainable workforce outcomes. This is a high-impact advisory role for an experienced people professional who can bring strategic insight, sound judgement and a strong commercial lens to organisational effectiveness, workforce performance, leadership capability and people risk management.
Holding a key technical leadership role within the People & Transformation function, you will be embedded as a trusted partner to leaders within assigned Strategic Business Functions as they navigate workforce planning, organisational design, change, performance,
talent and employee relations matters. You will use workforce data, insights and your specialist expertise to influence decisions, strengthen organisational capability and support long-term workforce sustainability.
You’ll lead a specialist portfolio within the People function, developing the framework and providing expertise to your peers on your area of expertise, including employee and industrial relations, performance management, and remuneration.
You will contribute to business planning and transformation initiatives through a people lens, ensuring workforce strategies are aligned with enterprise priorities, operating model principles, legislative obligations and Defence Health’s values.
About you
You are an experienced strategic HR, people partnering or organisational effectiveness skilled who is confident working with senior stakeholders.
You demonstrate experience partnering with senior leaders to deliver workforce, organisational and business outcomes. You also bring extensive experience in workforce planning, organisational design, leadership coaching and change management.
A sound knowledge of employee relations, employment legislation and workforce governance along with the proven ability to influence,
build relationships and provide trusted advice in complex stakeholder environments will see you succeed in this role.
Additionally, a tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline, and relevant professional accreditation, would be highly regarded.
