About the role The FP&A; Manager leads the Group's financial planning and analysis function, with particular focus on managing banking and lender relationships, the annual budget process, the three-year rolling forecast, short-term (six-week) cash flow forecasting, daily cash management, and oversight of Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) and payroll reporting. The role provides the CFO and Executive team with accurate, timely and insightful financial information to support decision-making, ensures the Group meets its banking facility and covenant obligations, and builds a high-performing FP&A; function including leadership and development of the FP&A; Analyst.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the primary day-to-day contact for the Group's banking and lending partners, maintaining strong, proactive working relationships
- Prepare and manage timely, accurate covenant compliance calculations and reporting, including compliance certificates and supporting schedules
- Lead the annual Group budgeting process end-to-end, including timetable, templates, business unit engagement and consolidation
- Develop and maintain the Group's rolling three-year financial forecast, integrating business unit inputs, corporate assumptions and strategic initiatives
- Own the rolling six-week cash flow forecast, ensuring accuracy and timely updates in conjunction with business unit and Group finance teams
- Manage daily cash position reporting and monitoring across Group bank accounts, including intercompany funding and facility utilisation
- Oversee reporting on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and payroll, including ageing, debtor days and labour cost trends
- Lead, coach and develop the FP&A; Analyst, reviewing their analysis and building their technical and business partnering capability
- Prepare monthly management reporting packs, including variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior period, with clear commentary
- Partner with business unit leaders and the Executive team to provide financial insight that supports operational and strategic decisions
About you
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
- CA / CPA / CFA or equivalent qualification preferred
- Minimum 6–8 years' experience in FP&A;, corporate finance or a similar role, ideally within an ASX-listed or multi-entity/multinational group
- Demonstrated experience managing banking relationships, covenant reporting and lender communications
- Robust track record leading budgeting, forecasting and cash flow forecasting processes
- Experience overseeing or partnering with AP, AR and payroll functions on reporting and working capital matters
- Experience managing or mentoring junior finance team members
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with FP&A;/BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Adaptive Insights, Vena) and ERP systems highly regarded
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial analysis into clear, actionable insight for non-finance stakeholders
- Excellent relationship management skills, particularly in dealing with banking and lending partners
