About the Company

We are working exclusively with a global renewable energy technology business that is expanding its Australian engineering team and looking for a Graduate Grid Engineer to join their Melbourne-based team.

You'll work alongside experienced Grid Engineers on utility-scale wind projects, gaining hands-on exposure to grid connection, power system modelling and the interface between wind turbine technology and the Australian electricity network.

About the Role

- Supporting power system studies including load flow and dynamic analysis.
- Assisting with grid connection, registration and commissioning documentation.
- Supporting GPS negotiations and compliance with AEMO and network service providers.
- Developing experience with PSS/E, PSCAD and PowerFactory.
- Assisting with wind turbine model validation and performance assessment.
- Supporting technical engagement with AEMO, NSPs, consultants and project teams.
- Working with senior engineers to build your technical capability and take on increasing responsibility.

Experience & Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or related discipline.




- Recent graduate or up to 2 years' relevant engineering experience.
- Solid interest in power systems, renewable energy and grid connection.
- Understanding of electrical networks and power systems.
- Exposure to, or an interest in learning, PSS/E, PSCAD and/or PowerFactory.
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive attitude and genuine desire to learn and develop.

No previous grid connection experience is required — the key is having the right technical foundation and enthusiasm to build a career in this space.
